| Makeover Monday – Meet Aurora Avila Posted: 04 Oct 2010 10:46 AM PDT Today was Makeover Monday on Access Hollywood Live and in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, we invited a very special woman for a very special makeover – Aurora Avila. Aurora was a newlywed and three-months pregnant when she received her cancer diagnosis at just 31-years old. She underwent chemotherapy and radiation, but she lost her pregnancy. After finishing her treatment, she ended up separating from her husband. Aurora marched onward though, and she's been devoted to getting the word out about breast cancer, volunteering her time to spread awareness – especially to young women. We couldn't think of anyone better to whom to give today's Monday Makeover and Aurora's look was inspired by Eva Longoria Parker. Eva's "Desperate Housewives" co-star, Felicity Huffman, even stopped by to meet Aurora, and to help with the makeover. |
