Smallville has tapped Sebastian Spence to play inventor-turned-superhero Ted Kord, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.

Spence, 41, will appear in the Geoff Johns-penned episode, "Booster," which will feature the genesis of Jamie Reyes' Blue Beetle and his teaming with Booster Gold. (For you non-geeks out there, the translation follows: "Sweet!")
