Three adults and a child were found dead early Tuesday in a backyard pool and a bathtub of a San Diego home, and a fire official said all four appeared to have drowned. A relative went to the home "to discuss business" with the man who lived there. The relative called police after spotting two bodies in the backyard swimming pool, he said. Officer Frank Cali said the bodies were discovered shortly after 6:30 a.m. at a house in a cul-de-sac in the Bay Terraces neighborhood. San Diego Fire-Rescue spokesman Maurice Luque said firefighters found the bodies of a man, a woman and a girl in a backyard pool and another woman in a bathtub. All four appeared to be drowning victims and were pronounced dead at the scene. Bay Terraces is a low- to middle-income, ethnically diverse neighborhood in San Diego's southeastern area.
The victims' names and ages weren't immediately released.
