Derren Brown is an interesting character, I can't decide whether his whole thing is faked to discredit real mind control, or if he genuinely practises that level of suggestion. Basically he advertises (in newspapers and such) for people to be on his show then they get a "Trick" or a "Treat" mind control thing, the guy in this episode gets a Treat unfortunately (it's always more entertaining when they get a trick).
Remember the red/white/black symbolism I was going on about that was in The Bank Job, well I'm fairly certain it's being used here too. They follow the subject around for a while planting subliminal messages in the places that he goes. The lady in red below is working for Brown and has red/white/black symbolism (it looks like a wig too).
More of this masonic symbolism can be seen when they trap Glenn (el resonator, masonic G resonator, double n). They set the trap in a building called "Vernon Place" and the security camera feed has the number 17 on it. Twin pillars symbolism is clearly there and the quiz word seemed abit random (his challenge is to do a pub quiz but it still seemed random).
The trap was set inside an elevator (el resonation) where a creepy looking masonic black/white guy inexplicably stands atop the elevator controlling it's movements. To show red/white/black symbolism the lighting constantly changes to red during this scene when he eventually speaks to Derren and picks the Treat card, the cards can be viewed as symbolic as they are made up of two mirrored 7's creating the T on each. (the sign below changes from HELLO THERE to HELL HERE)
Derren Brown then tells him to meet him at the national library where he is taught this resonant fast-learning technique (below image). So now we know why Bush and co do it all the time, they're just trying to learn real fast. He then does this twin pillars/satanic resonating "technique" of scanning down each page of many many books. Apparently after doing that for a few days, scanning through dozens of books doing this same technique over and over (seems occultic to me) he knows everything in them.
To illustrate the subliminal suggestion in the program they do quick-flashes of imagery showing things that come up in the show later for instance a question about the number of species of hummingbirds in the amazon rainforest, the answer keeps coming up beforehand in masonic black and white. The number 319 is symbolic enough but if you add them up you get 13.
On an unrelated slot (from the same episode) apparently to show the power of visual memory, someone marks a dark bean with a white x and Derren has to figure out where he put it. Look at his Masonic visual remembering technique where he makes a square with his hands.
But onto the actual quiz. There was plenty of interesting numerology in this one. Masonic G and El resonating Glenn was given table/group #9. Glenn came second with a score of 33. (sometimes I'm amazed by some of the completely random synchs that happen, like the below picture showing the #23 synch was vlcsnap777017uj3)
Behind him there is a skull and bones resonating jumper on the back of a chair. And there are also similar mirrored 7 things symbolism (except they are crossed) to the ones on the trick or treat cards written on his name sign (there is probably a reason for that but I don't know it).
I think next week has stargate time traveller Doctor Who's David Tennent as it's victim so that should be interesting. And here's an interesting video where Derren (why isn't it Darren) plays 9 chess geniuses, "grand masters" and such, this obviously has lots of checkerboard symbolism. Notice how he wears black alot against white backgrounds too.

Channel 4's Freemasonic Fridays Part 1
Peep Show has been one of my favorite comedies since it's inception, so maybe this is not a conscious thing but just synchronicity. Peep Show's symbol/logo is the all seeing eye with the pupil off-centre, this could be synchronistically linked to the rise in the surveillance society. Below is the picture of the distributor's logo or something (it's on the first DVD anyway), all seeing eye representing C with luciferian light top left?
In Peep Show the characters sometimes wear "head cams" as most of the show is viewed from a first person perspective. Head cams like these (below left policemen, right david mitchell in peep show behind the scenes), that the voyeuristic masonic police have started to wear these days. The only difference being that they're obviously better camera's and they are positioned so the camera is between the eyes, this can be viewed as a symbolic representation of the third eye.
Edit: They've been trying to get an American version going for a while according to wikipedia Mitchell and Webb have said they want Steve Carell and Owen Wilson to be the leads, both people covered by synch bloggers. The episode on last night attracted 1.2 million viewers (7.7% of viewers).
The show preceding this one, Derren Brown's 'Trick of the Mind' had a TONNE of synchs in it which either tells me the whole thing is just a big faked joke or it's universal synchronicity proving it's truth, I'm downloading the show now so should have screens up with the synchs later tonight/tomorrow. Here's a preview of some of his older stuff, I wonder if this is how so much specific occult imagery gets into the media as every designer who puts a sun in their designs can't be sun worshippers, or someone who puts an all seeing eye in the design is not an "illumianti" member, or triangles/pyramids etc...

The Madeleine McCann light ritual continues one year on.
"People are also being asked to light candles, shine torches or turn on a porch lamp between 9.30pm and 10pm to symbolise the period when she went missing."
And on the back of my The Bill post (the video of the ex-Bill in the stadium with all the lights going on) I found this ritual interesting. "Everton, Madeleine's favourite football team, will join the campaign to "light the way home" for the little girl by switching on the floodlights at its Goodison Park ground at this time."
"They will attend a service in the Algarve village's church of Our Lady of Light, where a message from Mrs McCann will be read out."
Probably lots more I havn't seen.

And of course Murdoch's The Sun is big on the worshipping of the light front. (second top picture)

Classrooms United
Under watchful eyes, we form a united front.
I remember reading "Teacher Man" by Frank McCourt over the summer, getting myself pumped for my upcoming job (ironically, I didn't like the book, but whatever). There was one part where he talks about how, when an administrator walks in, the classroom dynamic instantly changes, and there's this unity between the students and teachers that forms for as long as admin stays. Students aren't dumb - they know that when admin walks in, teachers are being evaluated. Thus, it's a test of how much they like you; if they go silent and do everything you say, you're liked and respected. If they run amok, they're trying to screw you over and make you look bad.
One day I was in grade 10 science, ready to throw up an overhead on naming polyatomic compounds. I reviewed a bit on the criss-cross rule of coming up with chemical formulas, and how to name ionic compounds. As soon as I threw up the overhead, a student said "Sir, someone's at the door."
I opened, and in walks the principal. She had spoken before how she likes to randomly walk into classrooms just to see what's going on, and to not acknowledge her presence at all.
"Hi." I said.
"Hi." was the response, and she quietly took a seat by the right side of the class.
As I walked back to the front, I saw every student looking at me with a worried look on his/her face. Hard to describe, but it looked like eyes asking "What do we do???"
"OK, so continue copying the overheads and stop when you reach this point. Once you're done, think about how it links back to ionic compounds, and then we'll discuss it as a class." As I said it, I shot them all a look that said "Stay calm, we'll be alright." And we were; she left after 10 minutes.
As soon as she did, I literally saw all of them deflate. "Sir what was that about?" "Nothing, she just wanted to see our class, that's all." "Sir, are you in trouble?" "No Sara, I don't think so." Of course, I wanted to know what she thought.
After school I walked into her office and asked for her opinion. "Oh, it was good; I had been watching for about 10 seconds before you opened the door - you had complete class control, everyone was focused and engaged. And they clearly like and respect you. But I do have some suggestions for improvement." and she broke down how I need to improve my questioning abilities. I put people on the spot, and she went into great detail about how there's no safety in failing (i.e. people are set up to possibly feel humiliated if they get the question wrong). Thus, the only people who will put up their hands are those who are extremely confident. She gave me suggestions on how to improve that and get more people willing to put up their hands. I tried it, and it's worked, though I don't use it enough.
A couple of days ago, both VP's walked into my first period class (grade 12 advanced functions) and gave a little walk around. I wasn't teaching; I was merely walking around keeping students on task and helping them out, as I had given them an assignment to help them independently form the concepts of graph transformations for trig functions.
They left after 5 minutes. Same results - the classroom went quieter, people who were in and out of focus stayed on task - though there was some chatter, but focused chatter, because I had encouraged them to help each other out.
Yesterday during lunch, I was on my way to the office to check my mailbox for my attendance updates for last two periods, and the principal and two VP's motioned me over. "Oh shit...." I thought.
"Y'ello???"
"Hi, we have an opportunity for you."
"That sounds good."
"We'd like to see your first period class. It'd be just me (principal) along with Mike (department head). We want to see how your teaching has come along, and since Mike's experienced, we want his opinion on what you're doing right, and how you could improve."
"Sure, I'm in!"
Although I like professional feedback and constructive criticism, this does worry me somewhat. With the two VP's having walked into the same classroom a day earlier, I'm wondering if they saw something they didn't like. Am I being watched? Mike spoke to me during lunch and asked me about it. He said "I don't know, she said she wants my opinion on what makes a good math class. I said 'OK, whose class should we see?' and she said 'What about one of Andrew's classes?' 'Sure OK.'" I get the sense that this was just a way of getting him to watch a class of mine to evaluate me. Is there a possibility that they're looking into hiring me full-time, and this is a test of some sort? Who the heck knows? All I know are a couple of things:
1) It's happening sometime next week, and
2) Whatever happens, I'll be alright - myself and thirty-four hormonally-charged teenagers will form a united front.
