He won the Season 10 ?American Idol? title, and Scotty McCreery told press he was fond of spending time with his co-finalist Lauren Alaina.
The 17-year-old champion looked back over the months that led up to last night and Lauren was definitely a big part of his experience.
"Every day's been a special moment with Lauren. I met her day one of Hollywood Week. We were in groups in Vegas, and she's my classmate out here in L.A. We've been together a whole lot. We talk about a lot of things. We've had a lot of special moments."
Prior to the show, Miss Alaina added, "I've been waiting a long time for this night to be here. Tonight's going to be awesome."
