Russell Brand's checkered past came back to haunt him on Saturday as he attempted to enjoy a visit to Japan with his pop star wife, Katy Perry.

"So…my husband just got deported from Japan. I am so sad," Katy Tweeted early Sunday morning. "I brought him all this way to show him my favorite place #tokyodreamscrushed."
