I never said my actions were morally right. I'll admit that my actions are probably very immoral, and ethically wrong. The simple fact is I don't care about how people view my morality or ethics. Why should I care what people think of me. I never said it bothers me that you guys are not agreeing with me, all I said is that I find it laughable.

EDIT: @uscfgrad93 - No I won't ruin them, unless my 4.2 GPA, 36 ACT score, 2400 SAT score, and nearly 2500 hours of volunteer work over the past two years count as ruining them. Oh also add in both of my parents' alumni status with Harvard, and there donations every year;)

    -Don

Am I the only one that thinks this kid is completely FOS? He's that guy who has to torment everyone and lie about how smart and rich he is to make himself feel better about his shallow, lonely, crappy life. Typical internet tough guy.

Dude, good luck at "Harvard". You wouldn't last 10 minutes.

Sorry to crash the party, but it would seem a little strange for Apple to upgrade the MacBook and/or MB Pro's until sometime after the 16th when their current college promotion ends. Promotion = clearing out old stock (of notebooks & iPods).

Keep your mom's credit card in her purse for a few more weeks.

Hello Mr. Condescending, and glad you could join us.

There are arguments agreeing with you and those that disagree with you for equally good reasons. It's been all over these boards for the last several weeks, so you're not telling anyone anything they haven't thought, said, heard, or argued for or against. While I can definitely see both sides to this worn debate, in all honestly, I have no idea when Apple will release the C2D systems. And neither do you (or do you? :o )

But hey! That's why were here. To speculate, argue, and spread wild rumors based on tiny grains of truth.

Miles you make a great point... You also confirm that Apple better pull them, its a pointless app because if your so drunk then you can't operate a phone let alone an app.

I beg to differ. I can operate my phone quite well and not even remember doing it lol. Although, you just shouldn't be driving drunk so that you have to avoid the checkpoints.

BTW, What is with all the Anti Mini Mac Pro hostility??? "I'm sorry, you can't have a Quad 2.67 Ghz CPU and a top of the line graphics card. I'm sure a Mac Mini will more than fulfil your needs, with its Dual 1.86 Ghz Yonah processor and Integrated Graphics. As long as you de-emphasize on productivity, you should find a Mac Mini is plenty fast enough. After all, Apple is perfect, and anything they don't offer should be wanted by you."

Indeed. It's as if there's something wrong with asking for something you want. How dare we suggest the Apple lineup isn't perfect!

Wow, the dual screen output is what could some day push me over the edge. A 27" display + 2 27" Apple screens either side sounds pretty nice. Still not enough to make me part with my 30" ACD right now though.

You do realize you can do almost the same thing (not sure about resolutions) with USB2 displaylink adapters?

My lowly 2007 Santa Rosa MBP can handle this fine with one 22" monitor using the old EVGA UVPlus... I even run it over a hub that also does keyboard, mouse and iphone cradle. Slight delay, no stutter, nothing. videos play fine (never tried full screen, but it's my work computer, so no need for that).

I think you just hit on why you can't watching streaming video with Bittorrent.

Amen! You are on the dot! Everyone (including developers) complain about their app not getting approved for one reason or another, and yet it's always because they breached the Developers Guide for the App Store. Just ******** get a printer and print the damn pdf out. Then, step two, READ it. Then, before you go and submit the app, use it yourself and see if it follows the guidelines.

It's like high school, when the teacher gives you a RUBRIC to FOLLOW, when you FAIL, it's because you didn't follow it. So shut up, or nut up. And build a better app. Hopefully one that doesn't say "that's what she says".

You're telling developers, who are the ones to deal with the policies daily, to read the SDK agreement. Rogue Amoeba, one the most respected Mac devs, did not violate the terms of the SDK agreement. They do not need to license these icons from Apple as they are being transmitted from the Mac and not by the iPhone app.

I love the way the Arn writes "the next revision of Apple's MacBook Pro line will utilize a new case design for the first time in several years."

It's been a couple years. 2 years, 6 months to be exact. He writes as though this design has been around for like, forever!

The previous aluminum design remained almost exactly the same (except for some almost inperceptable thinning when it became the MacPro) from Jan 2003 (the powerbook G4) to October 2008. 5 YEARS AND TEN MONTHS!

This may have been asked and answered before, but is the common belief that USB and Firewire will be completely gone soon? For example, my Macbook Air has room for only two ports - a mini-display drive, and a USB drive. Is the idea that the Thunderbolt drive will replace the USB, and that purchasers of the new Air will use an adapter of some sort for "old" USB peripherals moving forward?

They don't want to call their store "MobileApp" because they already have a store. It's called "Marketplace".

They would however like to describe their store that called "Marketplace" by saying that it is a store that sells apps. You know, an app store.

It is a market that sells apps. You know, and app market. No need for them to describe it as an App Store since that description would not fly over anyone's head.

Don't get me wrong, MAD is a very great organization, but kids aren't supposed to drink at all.

Don't be kind -- MADD is a prohibitionist organization that has moved so far away from it's original mission that even the founder no longer has anything to do with it. They've turned into a bunch of loonies who are constantly pushing to stay relevant by crusading against the legal right to drink in this country.

They've brought the per se intoxication level down to .08, and they're continuing for it to be lower.

then why did apple cripple the 13" macbook pro's with ****** resolution then?

Because they didn't redesign the MBP. It is the same 13" unibody MBP they have had since the first 13" unibody MBP. Because of that, everything is exactly the same as it was. It has nothing to do with the capabilities of the video chipset. Seriously the 13" MBP can run a 27" ACD.

The new Mac Pro has finally achieved acoustic running levels to make it perfect
    for audio recording solutions.
It will be interesting to see how quiet the new Merom iMacs run.

We've read countless complaint threads over the years about noise issues.

This is why I think Apple will pass on some of these processors to maintain
the new standards they have achieved.

It will be interesting to see how the 65nm back to back mirrored quad chips perform compared to the 45 nm chipsets.

For now, I think the priority is still to get heat down in the notebooks and to improve battery life.

I am in San Diego and first heard the reports early in the am. All i can say is at least this was an armed guard.. I have not heard but I would not be shocked to hear that this garud was in fact a "rent a cop" http://www.offdutyofficers.com/
the latest reports i have heard said over 40 shots were fired...
so at least 1 clip was emptied.
Oh by the way even the transit cops carry in San Diego.

The term "app" may be generic, but there was no "app" until Apple came into the picture. Apple got there first and everyone (as usual) followed.

The simple fact is that I should not have to obey a 70mph speed limit if I don't want to. Why would I even bother driving a car that can hit 186mph (with the speed governor removed, with the governor top speed is 155mph) at 70 mph? A Ford Fiesta can hit those speeds, what's the point of fast cars if you're going to follow the speed limit in them?

Once again you provide further evidence that you do not belong in the driver's seat of a tricycle much less a car.

Do no buckle to these power hungry tyrants Samsung. The stinger you fight, the more I will buy your products in the future.

You'd buy their products just because they opposed Apple? I buy products because I like them, hence a Samsung HDTV, Xbox 360, Sony Vaio Laptop, iPhone 4 and iPad.

One of my friends will not buy a piece of clothing if its cheaper than $50. (except underwear obviously) He could spot a shirt he liked, run over, and see it was $40, and he'd say "It's too cheap"

Where I would go, "Hey that shirt looks good"

4% doesn't sound like financial suicide to me. Though I do believe that Samsung would probably try to avoid losing that 4%.

Apple would probably find someone else for parts, but the question is if the quality/price would be the same. If I was a parts manufacturer, I would take advantage of this, knowing Apple is in desperate need of new parts. Cha-ching!!!!

Losing out on $142 billion in 1 deal, just to spite someone makes sense, if the CEO is 12.

Now Wall Mart knows where I am!!!

Who cares! interesting data but unless you are a celebrity or some sort of important figure the rest is only based on your ego and the typical "American culture paranoia".

Get real, no one in the work cares where you are, they all know you are behind your mac downloading porn.
