Hugh Grant Was In Serious Chats To Replace Charlie Sheen In ?Two And A Half Men?

One and a Half Men and an English Gentleman? Could have been. Hugh Grant came thisclose to filling the vacancy left on Two and a Half Men when Warner Bros. and CBS tossed Charlie Sheen out on his ear after eight years of drug relapses and all-around bad boy behavior.

Hugh was reportedly ?deep into final negotiations? to star in the hit sitcom, only pulling out ?at the last minute due to creative differences.? After giving the conditions of the agreeement some further thought, Grant just wasn?t that into the idea of committing to 26-episodes of a weekly TV show. That heavy work schedule can be hell on a Brit!

Now the search continues for another replacement: We hear producers are on the hunt for an A-list star who?s never done TV before.
