If you weren't already planning on seeing "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" tonight, perhaps this is a good enough reason to get you on board for Jack Sparrow's latest adventure: you'll have an opportunity to catch a sneak peek at "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" in all of its 3-D glory.
A new 3-D trailer for Michael Bay's third and supposedly final "Transformers" movie is set to play in front of Disney's "On Stranger Tides" tonight. Though it features a very similar structure to the trailer that was released earlier in the month, there are several new shots that showcase the expansive scope of Bay's 3-D filmmaking effort, which he detailed during a conversation with James Cameron earlier this week.
Those of you curious about the new 3-D "Dark of the Moon" trailer but can't go out to the movies tonight, don't sweat it ? Paramount Pictures have released the trailer online for your viewing pleasure, though you won't be able to enjoy it in all of its 3-D awesomeness. Still, you don't need 3-D glasses for the epic scale of "Dark of the Moon" to pop off the screen and punch you in the face, do you?
MTV News staff writer Kara Warner attended a showcase of footage from "Dark of the Moon" earlier in the week, and had this to say: "Bay rolled out the entire opening of the film, which, in a nutshell, is the "real" backstory behind our rush to land on the moon in 1969. I don't want to spoil it, but let's just say that something unidentified might have crash-landed on the moon, which prompted the mad dash to get Neil Armstrong and company up there to investigate."
