Von Trier's remarks Wednesday stirred up reporters and sparked a swift response from festival organizers, who issued a statement saying they were "disturbed" and had called the Danish director in to explain himself.

I'm surprisingly more comfortable in [the] sock type of thing… because you're kind of like, really vulnerable, so why not just go with it? So, it's easier."

Online auctioneer eBay said Wednesday that bids for one of the wackiest pieces of royal wedding headgear have approached 18,400 pounds ($30,000.)

Princess Beatrice's massive ring-and-bow-shaped hat turned heads at the wedding of her cousin Prince William last month.

The Philip Treacy creation has been compared to a toilet seat or a pretzel. Images of the headpiece have been repeatedly digitally manipulated and posted online, featuring — for example — a cat crawling through it.

As Lady O tapes her final shows this week, I got to thinking about how she's changed SO many things over the past three decades and fashion is one of them. She made it OK for all of us to feel ok with our less than perfect bodies.

Maria Shriver appeared at "The Oprah Winfrey Show's" "Surprise Oprah! A Farewell Spectacular" in Chicago on Tuesday night, her first public appearance since Arnold Schwarzenegger admitted to fathering a child with a former staffer.

"You have given me love, support, wisdom and, most of all, the truth," Shriver told the talk show host on stage in front of a packed house at the United Center. "And I know I'm not alone in receiving those gifts from you."
